We discovered Biscuit & Bones when we stopped in at a local butcher who had their local business cards and told us they buy the same locally-sourced farm-raised meat from them that we do for us!
Since we rescued our 2 dogs--Mickey and Birdie, and as first-time dog owners who wanted to do the very best, we had always been searching for a good food that they would like (Mickey is really picky), but that was high-quality. I researched a lot, I asked various vets what they recommend, I talked with others at various dog training groups, etc. I tried quite a few canned foods, toppers, frozen foods, raw, etc. A few times when I thought I finally found the very best, I would see a recall on the news which really scared me--barbiturates had been found in various canned foods, and this happened a few times for brands that seemed really reputable.
We decided to give Biscuit & Bones a try. I had never tried a fresh food service before, but it sounded perfect. The website was impressively done too. And once I put in my order, the owner even called me personally to discuss and confirm my order and any questions I had about the food ingredients, how to feed it, what dogs love most about it, and--how much he loves his own dog that gets Biscuit & Bones, no doubt the inspiration behind the business.
It's Farm-to-Table from a genuine chef. And the ingredients are as fresh and wholesome as you can get. The beef is grass-fed, no-antibiotic/hormone, and--local farm-raised--I know, because we get the same locally-raised meat for ourselves from our butcher.
And the most important part, Mickey and Birdie LOVE it. I'm so glad we found something good for them that they love. I want them to be their healthiest and live long, happy lives. I feel really good feeding them Biscuit & Bones.
We purchased the WW & Chicken bones from the Orange Farmer's Market yesterday. You gave us a sample of the Beefy Feast All-Natural Dog Food. My daughter's dog is very picky and will often turn away from her food for a day or two running. I mixed the Beefy Feast with her dry food and she is on her second bowl (has not really eaten for 2 days). Do you do any weekend Markets near Ansonia so that I can pick up more?
My dog is a 14 year old Westie named Sammie. She is the love of our Lives! Two years ago she was diagnosed with a tumor in her bladder, and about 6 months ago she started showing many more signs of aging including skin infections, acid reflux, ear infections and going blind. She began to lose her interest in most things including eating. Not even my meatballs could get her to the bowl! Then one day I was buying a sandwich from Lou at the butcher shop and he gave me some of his new dog food to try. Joe said it was full of all natural products and even fit for human consumption! So I took it home and gave it to Sammie and she loved it! She would eat a healthy portion every day and also loves the dried beef treats. Her demeanor has changed- she has perked up, even takes the occasional walk around the block and her vet can not believe how well she is doing. Our entire family is so happy to see Sammie living well and enjoying her food, thanks to Biscuit and Bones. I ‘d like to think it has extended her life and we are glad it did.
Eating commercial foods may lead to chronic health problems for dogs. Unwanted belly issues, scratching, vomiting, dry skin, poor appetite and low energy levels could all be linked to a poor diet. Feeding your dog our all-natural foods could be just what the doctor ordered.

The term "restaurant quality ingredients" in our pet food means that the finished product is as good as a restaurant meal.
All of our ingredients pass our personal selection/inspection, "if I would not eat it neither will your dog". You can rest assured that my 25+ years as a restaurant chef/owner in NYC has produced some very high standards. Standards your dogs will love.
Restaurant ingredients are much more regulated than foods made for animals. Unlike the loosely controlled pet food industry, the FDA and USDA regulate restaurant foods and conduct frequent, detailed inspections of the growing, packaging and manufacturing facilities that produce goods for humans.
